Anyone planning to move to Germany in May 2015 should take into account the new rules of the Federal Law on Registration. Accordingly, from 01.05.2015 the Lessor's certificate will apply again. This means that registration and deregistration requires the written or electronic confirmation of the landlord. This must be submitted to the Authority within two weeks and should include:
- Name and address of the landlord
- Type of notifiable transaction with entry and departure date
- Address of the home
- Name of the landlord
Relocation costs tax deductible
